How To Get Ipad Downloads For FREE

By: Martha Reuben

As an avid reader who uses the ipad as an e-reader, I am constantly searching for reputable sites for my free ipad book downloads. This article will show you how to download free ipad books from the free ibook directory Project Gutenberg.

Project Gutenberg is accessed in Apple ipad's ibookstore. It has over 30,000 free eBooks in the ePub format( ePub is the open, eBook format that is compatible with the ipad). Project Gutenberg is one of the most reliable sites for free iPad book downloads. Books range from classics like pride and prejudice and Jane Eyre to some of the most recent books.

Follow the simple how-to below on downloading ePub formatted ipad eBooks and adding them to your iTunes library.

Visit the Project Gutenberg website.

Search for a book you want to read on your iPad.

Click on the link and scroll to the bottom of the ebook's page.

Download the epub format of the ebook.

Open iTunes and click on file.

From the menu,Click on add file to library.

Search for and select the eBook file

Click open, make sure that your iPad is well connected and right-click on your iPad.

Choose Sync from the menu, on the iPad tap on the iBooks App.

Tap on the free eBook that you have added. The book should open.

Enjoy reading your free ipad eBook courtesy of project Gutenberg.
Note however that current bestsellers are usually not for free and you have to purchase them at up to $12 per book.

Besides project Gutenberg, there are other good sites that offer ipad downloads for free.

Manybooks.net has a big collection of ipad ebooks all free. The site includes special collections and recommended ebooks and reviews from other visitors. Another good site is http://epubBooks.com. This site provides a great selection of high quality EPUB eBooks for anyone to download and read, and all absolutely for free. EPUB eBooks are usable on many different eReaders including the Apple iPad, dedicated gadgets such as the Sony Reader and smart phones (iPhone and Android). Other eReaders include the ibis Online Reader, and Adobe Digital Editions. The only drawback of epubBooks is that they don't provide bestsellers.

Note however that current bestsellers are usually not for free and you have to purchase them at up to $15 per book.

Now my favourite of all ipad downloads sites is MyPadMedia. It is the internet's latest eBook downloading service. They allow members to access thousands of eBooks(Note that these are not just any books but bestsellers and books that can be purchased either at your local bookstore or on the iTunes iBookstore), Name brand comic books superhero action, manga, anime, and comedy comic book and lastly of course is access to a huge database of thousands of live newspaper sites from around the world straight to your iPad.

Other benefits are that there is no P2P file sharing so you don't have to worry about copyright infringement or illegal file-sharing, you get around the clock(24 hour) support with excellent customer service, you also get a 60- day money back guarantee and the site is compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch and other eBook devices like Amazon's Kindle and the Barnes & Noble nook, and most importantly you get all this media for a one lifetime subscription fee of $49.99.Considering that you can pay up to $15 to download one ebook or $17 for a monthly newspaper subscription (wall street journal) or $2 for a single comic book I consider this a huge steal.
